As a general rule, websites of large organizations such as BBC, PBS, The New York Times, or a respected University are good places to look for information. Websites such as answers.com, yahoo answers, encyclopedia.com, or about.com, can often provide little detail and questionable (or unknown) authors. Wikipedia is also not a good source of information because anyone can go in and edit the information on their webpages.
